Scholarships & Financial Assitance
Dear Students
Fill in your application through https://dost.iitm.ac.in/iitmdost/login (Sign
in using LDAP credentials and view details under Awards &
Scholarship). The online application portal will be accessible
from 13th March, 2025.
The last date for the submission of nominations is 5.00
pm on 21st March, 2025.

Malathi Veeraraghavan Prize
Prize Criteria:
- For 3rd year B.Tech./Dual Degree woman student with the top all-round performance at the end
of her 5th semester.
- The applicant’s CGPA should be in the top 20% among all the girl students of her
corresponding year’s B.Tech./Dual Degree class/batch.
- The applicant should not have been awarded any punishment on disciplinary grounds.
Sri KM Ramamurthi Prize
Prize Criteria:
- The best B.Tech student among the branches of CH, CE, ME, MM & NA on the basis of their
performance in the first six semesters and their attainments in cultural activities,
literary events, sports, good citizenship, etc.
- The applicant should not have been awarded any punishment on disciplinary grounds.
Shankar Family Scholarship
Available scholarships: 9
(awarded to three 2nd-year students, three 3rd-year students, and three 4th-year students
from B.Tech or DD programmes)
Scholarship criteria:
- Participation in sports/extra-curricular and co-curricular activities at the
inter-hostel level or the Inter-IIT level.
- A CGPA above 7.5.
- Parents’ annual income should be below 8 lakhs per annum.
- The student should not be receiving any other scholarship.
- The student should not have been awarded any punishment on disciplinary grounds.
Venkitaramanan Scholarship
Available scholarships: 9
(awarded to three 2nd-year students, three 3rd-year students, and three 4th-year students
from B.Tech or DD programmes)
Scholarship criteria:
- Participation in sports/extra-curricular and co-curricular activities at the
inter-hostel level or the Inter-IIT level.
- A CGPA above 7.5.

Kalidas Madhavpeedi Scholarship
The Kalidas Madhavpeddi Scholarship is awarded to the best BTech and Dual Degree student of the
Civil Engineering Department based on the Curricular and Co-Curricular activities.
Scholarship criteria:
- The applicant has demonstrated leadership and teamwork.
- Social service on- and off-campus.
- The applicant should not have been awarded any punishment on disciplinary grounds.
