IIT Madras is organizing a Pan-India Wellness Hackathon for the students of higher educational institutions, in association with C-DAC, Bangalore. The objective behind this Hackathon is to create awareness on the mental health and overall well-being of the student population, as well as to encourage young innovators to come up with out-of-the-box ideas and technological solutions that can help those who may be experiencing health-related issues, as well as the caregivers.
Students of UG/PG/PhD level from bonafide institutions are invited to submit proposals in the following thematic areas: Mental Health and Wellness, Social Connections and Community Building, Academic and Career-Related Stress, Accessibility and Inclusivity, Relationship issues, Social Media addiction.
The Wellness Community Centre, IIT Madras vouches for holistic wellbeing. Proactive, retroactive, professional, and career guidance facilities are available on campus to ensure student empowerment.
Proposed solutions can be in the form of Mobile Apps, WebUI, technology, product, service, game, gadget, etc.
Teams of 2-5 members are allowed, with one leader. Consent and authorization forms are required from all members and their institutions. Proposals should be 2-5 pages, clearly detailing problem statement, objectives, dataset, methodology, and deliverables.
Submitted entries will be reviewed by an expert panel. Short-listed teams will participate in the Hackathon on 16th & 17th August 2025 at IIT Madras. Accommodation, food, and travel allowances (up to Rs 2000 per student) will be provided. Registration fee is Rs 1000 per team (non-refundable).
