Scholarships & Financial Assistance

Fill in your application through dost.iitm.ac.in (Sign in using LDAP credentials and view details under Awards & Scholarship). The online application portal will be accessible from 13th March, 2025.

The last date for submission of nominations is 5:00 pm on 21st March, 2025.

Malathi Veeraraghavan Prize 2025

Prize Criteria:

  • For 3rd year B.Tech./Dual Degree woman student with the top all-round performance at the end of her 5th semester.
  • Applicants’ CGPA should be in the top 20% among all the girl students of her batch.
  • No disciplinary punishments.
Sri KM Ramamurthi Prize 2025

Prize Criteria:

  • Best B.Tech student among CH, CE, ME, MM & NA based on first six semesters + cultural, sports & leadership achievements.
  • No disciplinary punishments.
Shankar Family Scholarship 2025

Available: 9 scholarships

(3 each for 2nd, 3rd, and 4th year B.Tech/DD students)

Criteria:

  • Active participation in sports / co-curricular activities.
  • CGPA above 7.5.
  • Parents’ annual income < 8 lakhs.
  • No other scholarships received.
  • No disciplinary punishments.
Venkitaramanan Scholarship 2025

Available: 9 scholarships

(3 each for 2nd, 3rd, and 4th year B.Tech/DD students)

Criteria:

  • Participation in sports/extra-curricular activities.
  • CGPA above 7.5.
  • Parents’ annual income < 8 lakhs.
  • No other scholarships received.
  • No disciplinary punishments.
Kalidas Madhavpeedi Scholarship 2025

Awarded to the best Civil Engineering B.Tech/DD student based on curricular + co-curricular activities.

Criteria:

  • Leadership and teamwork.
  • Social service on/off campus.
  • No disciplinary punishments.
